16 of Edo’s 18 Local Government have been announced with Governor Godwin Obaseki looking good having recorded 288,572 votes with Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu behind on 202,525.
An INEC official was reportedly shot at Orhionmwon Local Government, home to Ize-Iyamu.
Goldennews can officially report that Governor Obaseki won there as well.
INEC meanwhile, said it is working with security agencies to investigate the violence in the local government.
Obaseki and Ize-Iyamu are the leading candidates in Saturday’s Governorship Election, although 14 other candidates partipated in the election.
