The Manchester City midfielder, Kevin de Bruyne, has assumed that Liverpool is an up-and-down team, insisting that Pep Guardiola’s side are more skillful at being in control of the game.
GoldenNewsNg reports that Man City will on Sunday face Liverpool in a Premier League tie at Anfield.
Both teams went toe-to-toe until the final match of the 2021-2022 Premier League campaign.
However, Man City are currently in the second position on the Premier League table so far this season after nine games, while Liverpool sits in the tenth position after eight games.
Speaking ahead of Man City’s clash with Liverpool, De Bruyne spoke about the differences between both sides.
“Maybe we have more control of the game, they are more of an up-and-down team, and we are a team who has more control of the game, so if you can control that style of play, then maybe you have more of a chance,” De Bruyne told the Manchester Evening News (via Liverpool Echo) when asked about both teams.
“Last year, I thought we played great, but we didn’t win any of the games, so sometimes it goes that way.”
