The Federal Government has launched the Renewed Hope Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (RHGEEP 3.0), and many prospective applicants are eager to know the correct application process.

As of its rollout in late August 2025, the implementation framework is still being finalized, but one thing is clear — registration will be fully digital, transparent, and community-based, just like in previous GEEP phases.

Here’s what you should know about preparing ahead:

Step 1: Prepare Your Personal Requirements

  • Valid BVN (Bank Verification Number) – obtainable from your bank.
  • National Identification Number (NIN) – for identity verification.
  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • Loan History: No outstanding debts from earlier GEEP phases. A clean repayment record is important for RHGEEP 3.0 eligibility.

Step 2: Business/Activity Requirements

To qualify, applicants must show evidence of active trade or farming activity. This includes:

  • Proof of business or farming operation (shop, stall, or farm site verification).
  • Membership of a cooperative society, market association, or farming group (with a recommendation letter from the group leader).

Step 3: Eligible Target Groups

The programme is designed for Nigerians at the base of the economic pyramid, including:

  • Petty traders, artisans, and market women.
  • Youth (18–35 years) and women-led businesses.
  • Smallholder farmers and agricultural cooperatives.
  • Micro-entrepreneurs excluded from formal banking.

Step 4: Loan Details

Beneficiaries under RHGEEP 3.0 will access loans ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦300,000, depending on trade category and verification.

Step 5: Application Method

The official application portal has not yet been opened. Once it is live, registration will be strictly online and paperless. Applicants are advised to prepare their documents in advance and follow only verified government updates to avoid scams.

We’ll update this guide immediately once the official portal link is available.
