The Federal Ministry of Education (FME) has officially reopened the application portal for its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Initiative, a fully funded program designed to equip Nigerian youths with relevant technical skills, monthly stipends, and startup support.

  • National Identity Number (NIN)

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply on FME TVET Application Portal

Step 1: Visit the Official Portal

Go to the TVET website at https://tvet.education.gov.ng for detailed program information.

Step 2: Click on APPLY

After reviewing the details of the program, click on the “Apply Now” button on the homepage.

Step 3: Verify NIN and DOB

Enter your NIN and Date of Birth to initiate the verification process.

Step 4: Input Contact Information

Provide a valid phone number and email address linked to your NIN. An SMS verification code will be sent to your registered phone number.

Step 5: Create Your TVET Account

Once verified, you’ll be redirected to the account dashboard where you can proceed with the application.

Step 6: Choose Your Preferred Program

You can apply for either of the following:

  • Short-Term Certificate (STC) Programme – 6 months
  • Vocational Education & Innovation (VEI) Programme – 1 year

Make your selection based on your interests and time availability.

Step 7: Complete the Application Form

Fill in all required fields including:

  • Educational background
  • Skills acquired (formal or informal)
  • Preferred training location (if applicable)
