Mr. Sheriff Adenekan has been appointed the fourth substantive Registrar and Secretary to the Council of Fountain University by the governing council, led by Chairman Dr. AWA Ibraheem.
Goldennewsng reports that during the meeting of the university council that took place on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in the university Senate Chamber, the appointment that takes effect immediately was made.
Adenekan, a seasoned university administrator, earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons.) degree from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University) in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, in 1998, and his Masters of Arts in Philosophy degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, in 2007.
He is a member of the following professional organizations: Association of University Administrators (AUA) UK, Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA), and Institute of Corporate Affairs Management
He began his professional career as a university administrator in 2004 as an administrative officer at Olabisi Onabanjo University (CESAP), before moving to Fountain University, Osogbo, in 2008 as an assistant registrar. In 2018, he advanced through the ranks to become the Deputy Registrar, and since then, he has served as acting Registrar.
Mr. Sheriff will take over for Dr. Kikelomo W. Salle, the school’s previous substantive Registrar.
