Former Spokesman of the Niger State All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Jonathan Vatsa and twenty five others have been appointed as Special Advisers to the Governor, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago.
Their appointment in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Bologi was approved on Monday by the Governor.
The Governor while congratulating them, said their appointments were based on their track records.
He called on them to give in their best and bring to bear their wealth of experience for the growth and development of the state.
This brings the number of Special Advisers to thirty under the present administration after the earlier appointment of Aisha Wakaso as Special Adviser Print Media, Abdulberqi Ebbo, Special Adviser, Digital Media and Strategy and two others.
While Vatsa who was former Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism was appointed as Special Adviser, Public-Private-Partnership (PPP), the former Commissioner of Education, Hajia Hannatu Salihu was appointed Special Adviser, Girl Education Initiative.
Governor Bago also appointed Alh. Mohammed Nma Kolo, former Special Adviser to the immediate past Governor, as Special Adviser on Political Matters and Mr. George Dike the owner of Haske Hotels as Special Adviser, Inter-Tribal Matters.
Others are Hon. Mohammed Bello Mariga, S.A on Legislative Matters, Barr. Manko Bagudu S.A on Legal Matters/Government House Counsel, Alh. Mohammed Nda S.A on Economic Matters, Mall. Isah Audu S.A on Public Service Matters, Com. Adams Mohammed Erena, S.A on Labour Matters, Dr. Isah Adamu S.A on Governance and Reform, Hon. Abdulmalik Usman Dakachi, S.A on Traditional Institutions.
The statement also has Hon. Kabiru Abbas as S.A on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Umar Sanda Abubakar, S.A on Policy and Strategy, Yusuf Kolo (Rtd.
