This information is specifically tailored for candidates who are unable to access the CDCFIB portal due to the loss of their NIS Acknowledgement Slip, uncertainty regarding their application code, or simply forgetting their assigned application number during the online registration process.

To ensure you recover your NIS application code successfully, please carefully read this post in its entirety.

What is the NIS Application Code?

Important Information about the NIS Application Code

During the Nigerian Immigration Service online recruitment registration, each candidate was assigned a unique 16-digit number known as the application code. It is crucial to note that without this code, you will be unable to access the NIS CDCFIB portal for checking the shortlist or taking part in the screening test for the recruitment process.

Additionally, remember to retain the acknowledgement slip that you printed or downloaded after successfully submitting your application for the 2023 NIS recruitment. The slip will display your NIS application number or code, which will appear in the following format:

Example: 070M2023-36265186

Please make sure to keep this code safe as it is essential for your participation in the recruitment process.

Guide to Retrieving Your NIS Application Code

  • If you are one of the candidates who do not know or have forgotten their Immigration application ID, you can still recover it by following the method outlined below.
  • Please bear in mind that you submitted your NIS recruitment application through the portal of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board.
  • After successfully submitting your application, you would have received an acknowledgement message as confirmation of your successful registration, correct?
  • Therefore, you can retrieve your NIS application number by reviewing your email inbox.
  • The congratulatory message sent to the email address you provided should contain your application code.

Why NIS Will Not Assist in Recovering Your Application Code

The Nigeria Immigration Service aims to recruit committed candidates for the service. Forgetting your application ID does not demonstrate seriousness on your part. Therefore, this is one way to filter out unserious candidates from the recruitment process.

How to Log in to the NIS CDCFIB Portal

Candidates experiencing difficulties logging into their dashboard should ensure they use the following link: https://www.cdfipb.careers

The following information is required for logging in:
