JAMB Correction Of Data 2023: All You Need To Know

 

If you have taken the 2023 JAMB examination and discovered errors in your application or wish to modify your chosen institution or course, this article will provide you with guidance. Categories of JAMB Data Correction

The following categories allow candidates to make corrections:

  1. Names Correction: This service enables candidates to correct spelling errors or mistakes in the arrangement of their names, such as surname, first name, or last name. Please note that this correction can only be done once.
  2. Date of Birth Correction: Candidates who have identified errors in their date of birth can rectify them. However, this correction opportunity is available only once.
  3. Passport Photograph Correction: If there is an error in the submitted passport photograph, it can be corrected only once.
  4. Gender Correction: Corrections can be made for gender-related errors. This change may require supporting documents, and it can only be made once.
  5. State/LGA Correction: Candidates can correct their state/local government area of origin, possibly by providing supporting documents. This correction can also be made only once.
  6. Profile Correction: Any necessary corrections to your profile can be made once.
  7. Choice of Institution/Course Correction: This service allows candidates to change their choice of course or institution. Unlike other categories, this correction can be done multiple times, with separate payments required.

Note: The cost for corrections related to the course/institution, names, date of birth, gender, state/LGA of origin, etc., is N2,500 (two thousand five hundred naira only).

How to Carry Out JAMB Change of Course/Institution/Data Changes

Follow these steps to make the corrections mentioned above:

  1. Visit the JAMB portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
  2. Log in using your email and password.
  3. Click on “Registration (2023 only)” from the list of services on the left side.
  4. From the drop-down menu, select “2023 UTME Data Correction” or “2023 DE Data Correction” based on your case.
  5. Proceed with the payment.

After payment, visit the nearest JAMB office or a JAMB-accredited center to complete the correction process.

JAMB Change of Course & Institution / Data Correction Procedure (For 2022 and Earlier)

For those who registered in 2022 or earlier years and need to change their data on the JAMB portal, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the JAMB E-facility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
  2. Log in using your email and password.
  3. Click on “Application for Correction of Data (2022 Downward)” from the list of services on the left side.
  4. From the drop-down menu, select the specific item you wish to correct, such as Course/Institution, Name, Date of Birth, Gender, State/LGA of Origin.

Note: Some corrections may require a visit to the JAMB State Office.

Please be aware that data correction cannot be done by proxy. All corrections must be made in person by the applicant to avoid errors and complications.
