The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) held on Thursday, April 10.
In a statement issued on Sunday, April 13, 2025, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that candidates who sat for the exam can now check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the registered phone number used during their JAMB registration.
How Many Candidates Participated in the 2025 JAMB Mock UTME?
JAMB revealed that out of 200,115 candidates who initially expressed interest in taking part in the mock exam, two candidates later withdrew, bringing the final number of registered candidates to 200,113.
However, the board noted that not everyone showed up:
73,844 candidates were absent
88 candidates failed biometric verification
126,181 candidates successfully sat for the exam
115,735 results have been released
10,446 results are still being processed
JAMB assured that the remaining results will be released soon.
Purpose of the Mock UTME
The mock UTME is not mandatory, but it plays a crucial role in preparing candidates for the main UTME. According to JAMB, the exam is designed to:
