Nursing/Nursing Science Overview:

Nursing is a profession within the healthcare industry that focuses on providing care to individuals, families, and communities to help them achieve, maintain, or regain optimal health and quality of life.

Nurses are distinguished from other healthcare professionals based on their methods of patient care, level of education, and area of practice. They work across various specialties, each with different levels of prescription authority.

Although nurses form the majority of healthcare environments, there is a global shortage of qualified nurses, emphasizing the importance of this profession.
