The Kogi State House of Assembly on Friday endorsed the amount of N172,090,789,292 for the 2023 spending plan in Kogi State.
Goldennewsng reports that in November, Governor Yahaya Bello presented the proposed budget to the house for approval.
The Chairman of the House Committee on finance, appropriation, budget, monitoring, and economic planning, Aderonke Aro, stated when he presented the committee’s reports to Assembly members: “After considering the Appropriation Bill, the committee will present the sum of One Hundred and One Billion, Three Hundred and Forty-Five Million, Eighteen Thousand, One Hundred and Forty-One Naira, (N101,345,018,141) only shall be appropriated from the Con
Aro added that only N70,745,769,151 (seventy billion, seven hundred and forty-five million, seven hundred and sixty-nine thousand, one hundred and fifty-one naira) will be appropriated from the Kogi State Government’s Consolidated Revenue Fund for capital expenditures.
However, the committee changed the budget provisions from one code to another during the defense in accordance with the economic reality.
