Cubana night club has been shut down by the Lagos Police for flouting COVID-19 rules.
GoldenNewsNg reports that the Lagos State Commission for safety just sealed off Cubana Ikeja and other facilities for non compliance to the state COVID-19 protocol.
This online news reports that the development was disclosed in a terse statement issued on the micro-blogging site, Twitter by Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos Statement.
“Just in: @followlasg @lagossafety and @PoliceNG Lagos State Command sealed off Cubana night club for disobeying the State’s #COVID19 protocols,” the statement read.

Although it is unclear if the clubbers at Cubana night club were arrested, however, some videos published on the micro-blogging site, Twitter by netizens and sighted by NewsOne Nigeria, show police officers of the Lagos Police Command refusing to allow clubbers leave the night club premises willingly.

Meanwhile, the arrest is coming barely a day after Governor Sanwo-Olu re-imposed COVID-19 restrictions in Lagos State, where he noted that concerts, carnivals and street parties are banned in Lagos State until further notice, just as night clubs have not been allowed to open yet, noting that “all night clubs in Lagos must immediately shut down, until further notice.”
