JAMB Releases 2025 Mock UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has officially released the results of the 2025 Mock UTME held on Thursday, 10 April 2025. How to Check Your 2025 Mock UTME Result Offline

Candidates can check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019. It is essential to use the same phone number that was used during JAMB registration.

  1. Go to the official result checking portal: https://slipsprinting.jamb.gov.ng/CheckUTMEMockResults
  2. Enter your JAMB registration number or the email address you used during registration.
  3. Click on Check Mock Results.
  4. Your result will be displayed. You can print or save it for future reference.

Key Mock Exam Statistics

According to JAMB:

  • 200,113 candidates were registered for the mock UTME.

  • 2 candidates officially withdrew prior to the exam.

  • 73,844 candidates were absent on the day of the test.

  • 88 candidates were disqualified for failing biometric verification.

  • 126,181 candidates successfully sat for the mock UTME.

  • 115,735 results are now available.

  • 10,446 results are still undergoing processing and will be released soon.

JAMB acknowledged that some candidates experienced technical delays due to newly introduced features intended to improve the examination process. The board expressed regret over the inconveniences and reaffirmed its commitment to a seamless and credible main UTME.

JAMB Holds Policy Meeting to Set 2025 Admission Cut-off Marks

JAMB is also expected to hold its annual Policy Meeting on Admissions today, 14 April 2025, in Abuja. The meeting brings together vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, and other heads of tertiary institutions to deliberate and set the minimum cut-off marks for admission into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education for the 2025/2026 academic session.

What to Expect from the Meeting

During the 2024 policy meeting, the following minimum scores were adopted:

  • 140 for universities

  • 100 for polytechnics and colleges of education

While it is anticipated that the 2025 cut-off marks may remain similar, official decisions will be communicated at the end of today’s meeting. Institutions still retain the freedom to set higher benchmarks based on their capacity, programs, and competitive demand.

The meeting also aims to define the timeline for the commencement and conclusion of the 2025/2026 admissions, criteria for direct entry, and other policy guidelines that will shape the coming academic year.

What Candidates Should Do Next

As preparations for the main 2025 UTME continue, candidates are advised to:

  • Monitor the JAMB portal regularly for updates.

  • Reprint their UTME examination slips as soon as the option is enabled.

  • Familiarize themselves with the CBT format.

  • Review the official JAMB syllabus to align their study efforts.

Timely preparation and awareness of official instructions are crucial for success in the forthcoming examination.

Reminders for 2025 UTME Candidates

  • The mock exam is optional and does not influence UTME results or university admissions.

  • Candidates who missed the mock UTME can still sit for the main examination without penalty.

  • Candidates should not bring prohibited items such as mobile phones, wristwatches, and calculators to the CBT centres on the exam day.

  • Only the officially assigned examination slip will contain the exam date, time, and venue.

Conclusion

As of 14 April 2025, JAMB has released the mock UTME results, with over 115,000 candidates already able to access their scores. Additionally, the policy meeting scheduled for today is expected to determine the admission cut-off marks and guidelines for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Candidates are advised to stay informed through official JAMB communication channels and avoid relying on unverified sources. With the main UTME fast approaching, proper preparation and timely information will be vital to a successful outcome.
