Manchester United have completed the signing of Netherland international midfielder, Donny Van de Beek from Ajax on a five year contract with an addition of a further year for a fee of £39 million.
The terms of the deal means United will pay the Dutch Champions £34.6 million and an additional £4.4 million in add-ons.
The 23 year old is to travel to the UK once his commitment with his country is over after their Nations League games against Poland and Italy.
An obviously excited Donny said,
“I cannot begin to explain how incredible an opportunity it is to join a club with such an amazing history.
I would like to thank everyone at Ajax, I grew up there and I will always have a special bond with the club.
I am now ready to take the next step in my career and perform at the highest level and there is no higher standard than Manchester United.”
