A married woman and mother has revealed she she collects, drinks and applies her menstrual blood on her skin, claiming it helps to boost her physical and spiritual health .
Jasmine Alicia Carter, 30, from Barcelona, Spain says she applies her fresh menstrual blood as a facemask and creates ‘period paintings’ with her blood and that her husband approves of it.
The mother-of-one is a Sacred Woman’s Empowerment Mentor who helps and coaches women ‘to understand and reclaim the inherent sacredness that lies within their entire menstrual cycle.’
‘Understanding and reclaiming my period has given me a whole new appreciation for myself and for women,’ she said.
She also uses her own menstrual blood to create art and revealed that she mixes it with water to create different tones .
‘We are here because of our vaginas and our blood and women don’t take enough credit for that.’
‘Instead, throughout time, women have been taught to feel ashamed of our periods.’
‘If you look at tampons and sanitary pads, they’re floral scented and full of chemicals to hide our blood and compromise the natural functioning of our periods.
‘But in reality, your menstrual blood is highly packed with all the nutrients that we need.’
