According to Forbes magazine’s 2023 annual list released on Tuesday, late American singer, Michael Jackson, also known as the ‘King of Pop’, emerged as the world’s highest-paid dead celebrity.

As seen on the list, Jackson’s earning was estimated at $115 million. This marks the first time in four years that Jackson has claimed the top spot.

Following closely behind is Elvis Presley, Jackson’s late father-in-law, who secured second place with an estimated $100 million in earnings. Notably, other deceased celebrities such as Bob Marley, Prince, John Lennon, and Whitney Houston also made it to the top 13 list, collectively amassing approximately $470 million in earnings over the past year.

It is worth mentioning that this figure reflects a significant 70% decrease compared to 2022.

Goldennewsng understands that the late singers were ranked based on their pretax earnings from sales, licensing deals, streams and other sources of income between October 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023.
