The Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Maryam Katagum has been hospitalized after she slumped on Monday during an official engagement in Bauchi State.
GoldenNewsNG gathered that the minister suddenly slumped as she tried to deliver her speech at the launch an empowerment programme held at Sanin Malam Plaza in Bauchi.
An eyewitness said Mrs Katagum had looked socially detached at the event while sitting next to the Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Sen Baba Tela.
She was touching her head occasionally until she slumped – she held her head and went down flat – when she stood up to deliver her address during the launch of the programme.
Maryam Katagum was said to be immediately rushed to the Trauma Centre of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) for medical attention.
