Modibbo Adama University Postgraduate Admissions 2023/2024

 

Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) in Yola is now accepting applications for admission into its full-time Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs for the 2023/2024 academic session. This presents a valuable opportunity for qualified candidates to advance their careers through higher education.

MAUTECH Postgraduate Admission Requirements

  1. Postgraduate Diploma:
    • Graduates of MAU Yola or any recognized university with a Third-Class Degree in relevant disciplines.
    • Holders of a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit (GPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale) in a relevant discipline.
    • Holders of other professional qualifications accepted by the School of Postgraduate Studies and the University Senate.
    • Special cases may require candidates to pass department/school-prescribed tests or examinations.
  2. Master’s Degree:
    • Holders of a first degree from MAU Yola with at least Second Class Honours in a relevant subject.
    • Holders of equivalent qualifications from recognized universities.
    • Candidates with a Third-Class Honours degree or HND with Lower Credit (CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale) may be eligible if they:
      • Have a relevant Postgraduate Diploma with Lower Credit (CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale) or
      • Pass any prescribed qualifying examination for admission.
  3. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD):
    • Candidates with a Master’s Degree from MAU Yola with a GPA of 3.50 (on a 5-point scale) or 60% and above.
    • Candidates with equivalent qualifications from recognized universities.

General Admission Requirements:

  • Candidates must have passed at least five departmental relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, at Credit level.
  • Depending on the Department/School Postgraduate Committee, a candidate may be required to sit for and pass a qualifying examination before registration or at an appropriate stage of their program.

Duration of MAUTECH Postgraduate Programs

  • Postgraduate Diploma Program by Coursework and Project Report (Full-Time): 2 semesters (12 calendar months)
  • Master’s Degree Program by Coursework and Thesis or Project Report for MBA and MPA (Full-Time): Minimum duration of 3 semesters (18 calendar months) and a maximum duration of 6 semesters (36 calendar months)
  • PhD Program by Coursework and Thesis (Full-Time): Minimum duration of 6 semesters (36 calendar months) and a maximum duration of 10 semesters (60 calendar months)

How to Apply for MAUTECH Postgraduate Admission Form

  1. Visit the official website of SPGS MAU Yola at https://pgmau.admissions.cloud.
  2. Create a Candidate Account by accessing the same URL.
  3. Obtain an application PIN for N15,000.00 using the email or mobile number provided during account creation.
  4. Sign in to your Candidate Account, complete the online application form for your chosen program, and submit it. Review your application and follow the instructions before submission.
  5. Print two copies of the application form.
  6. Send all required documents in duplicate to the specified address.
  7. Fill out the online Transcript Request Form and send it to your previous institutions. Coordinate with your previous institutions to forward copies of your transcript, along with the completed Transcript Request Form, to “the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies at the Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola.” Application forms will not be processed without transcripts.
  8. Ensure you provide a functional email address and mobile number for communication purposes
