When controversial Nigerian singer Naira Marley told his fans that they were going to celebrate Marlians day on the 30th of May not many people took him serious ad they were right. What will a Marlians day be without much funfair and partying as typical of Naira Marley?
Naira Marley knows that he is a controversial musician and he has capitalized on it to score many points especially by remaining popular even during the lock down. He was named as one the guest at the ill-fated party organised by actress Funke Akindele in violation of the lock down when it was first enforced.
Only a few weeks later, Naira Marley announced that he will stop smoking until the month of Ramadan is over but he never kept his words even after he led many fans to chant the popular Allahuarkbar on Instagram.
He went on to declare the 30th of May as Marlians day and promised his fans many partying but he was shortsighted as normally is yet to fully return to social life in Nigeria. He was only able to wish his fans happy Marlians day but held no ceremony for it.
