The good news is that Npower Stipends Payment will begin soon. According to reliable information from sources close to the Honorable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Betta Edu, the payment will kick off shortly after completing all necessary verifications and documentation of the activities of the previous NASIMS administrator.

Overhaul of N-Power Scheme Announced by Minister Dr. Betta Edu

Abuja, Nigeria – In a significant and promising development, Dr. Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, has unveiled plans for a comprehensive overhaul of the N-Power scheme, with a focus on resolving existing challenges and expanding its impact. This announcement comes under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu’s government and aims to address issues such as delays in stipend payments that have affected N-Power beneficiaries.

DESOPADEC set to Commence N50,000 Bursary Payment

Dr. Edu’s statement, communicated through her media aide, Rasheed Zubair, underscores the government’s commitment to revitalize the social investment program. She stated, “We will change the modalities so that people will get their delayed stipends, include more people, and relaunch it with a renewed hope concept.”

Inclusivity and Streamlined Payments

One of the primary objectives of this overhaul is to make the N-Power program more inclusive, ensuring that a broader segment of the population can benefit from it. Plans are underway to accommodate additional participants and simplify the payment process for beneficiaries.

Furthermore, Dr. Betta Edu revealed that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation is working towards establishing humanitarian hubs across all 774 local government areas in Nigeria. This ambitious initiative is part of a long-term strategy aimed at alleviating poverty and enhancing social welfare on a nationwide scale.

Transparent and Accountable Governance

To ensure effective implementation, the ministry intends to deploy its staff to all local government areas for feedback collection and digital tracking of palliative distribution. This approach highlights the government’s commitment to transparency and accountable governance, ensuring that the intended beneficiaries receive the support they need.

Addressing Poverty Through Job Creation and Cash Transfers

Dr. Edu emphasized her dedication to tackling poverty through various means, including job creation and cash transfers to disadvantaged Nigerians. She affirmed, “Under my watch, the ministry will address poverty through job creation and cash transfers to poor Nigerians.”

She concluded by assuring Nigerians of President Tinubu’s comprehensive economic interventions, encompassing both short-term and long-term strategies to address the diverse needs of the country. She urged citizens to trust the process and anticipate positive changes.
