Neymar claimed to have been racially abused after he was sent off during Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-0 defeat to Olympique Marseille in Le’Classique on Sunday.
Florian Thauvin scored the only goal of the game which gave Marseille their first league win over Psg since 2011.
This was Psg second league defeat after also losing their opening day clash with Lens by the same scoreline.
In a fiesty encounter, the players from both sides almost came to blows in the last minute of stoppage time, which resulted in the referee sending off two players each from both Psg and Marseille.
Neymar was also sent off for an apparent strike on Marseille’s Alvaro Gonzalez in the back of the head.
He was then heard by the pitch side microphones saying to one of the match officials that he was racially abused during the encounter.
Tweeting after the game, the Brazilian said his only regret was not hitting the Marseille’s defender in the face whom his racial accusations were directed to.
Gonzalez on his part denied the accusation on Twitter saying there’s no place for racism in the game and that he’s had a clean career.
