Niger PDP lambasts APC over Tinubu’s secret visit
Tinubu should have been taken round to see, commission projects
The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger state has lambasted the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello over the secret visit of their National leader and former Governor of Lagos state, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the State.
In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Barrister Suleiman Zhigun and made available to Journalists, the PDP said “Governor Sani Bello should have taken Senator Bola Tinubu round the state to see their level of destruction of the state”.
Accordingly, Zhigun said “the secret reception of the APC National Party leader into the state and the lack of fanfare is akin to the visit of the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in December with no project to show or commission.
“The APC and Governor Sani Bello have “no project” to show or commission. So, whenever their party bigwigs come into town they hide them away in Government House or private residence, as you can see, all the projects in the state are PDP projects left behind since 2015”.
He added that, the PDP has consistently maintained that the APC in Niger state has drawn the state many years backwards.
Furthermore, he said “the PDP had a vision for the state, but the Current Governor said he never promised anything and he didn’t truly deliver anything, 7 years after and 16 Months to the expiration of their term.
“We, the PDP therefore challenge the APC led Government of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello to invite President Muhammadu Buhari to commission his commenced and completed projects in the state if any, either by the federal or state Government.
“The last time, President Buhari came to commission the “uncompleted” Baro port and the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo came to commission uncompleted drainage in the past.”
