The family of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has responded to the call from Anambra state Governor Charles Soludo for the secessionist leader to be released.
Goldennewsng reports that Kanunta Kanu, Kanu’s younger brother, stated that the family is appreciative of Soludo’s call.
Keep in mind that Soludo had demanded the IPOB leader’s immediate and unconditional release.
If the Federal Government finds it difficult to grant the Biafran agitator unconditional release, Soludo stated that he would be willing to serve as a surety for him.
The governor gave a speech during the flag-off campaigns of the party, during which the party’s presidential candidate, Prof. Peter Umeadi, and other candidates from the state and southeast were in attendance.
In response, Kanunta tweeted: I am pleading with @GovNigeria to unconditionally release #MaziNnamdiKanu. I want him released to me, and I will stand surety for him if he cannot be released without conditions. Governor of Anambra State, @CCSoludo. The family of Kanu is grateful.
