N-Power: FG engages monitors in Rivers, distributes letters, devices

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, said the recipients were among the 5000 monitors from 36 states trained by her ministry in February.

Farouq, who was represented by Ngene Bashir, said the devices would enable the ministry supervise the activities of the monitors and detect areas of challenges

She said: “These devices are equipped with applications that will monitor activities of the independent monitors. All the distributed devices are locally made in Nigeria and the applications designed by an indigenous company.

“The application, which is called the social investment management system, is a mobile and web-based application used to monitor the national investment projects.

“Using this app the ministry sees real time report of activities of the independent monitors on the field and view reports on the field.

“It will help to contribute to Mr. President’s mandate Of lifting 100million Nigerians out of poverty. Each independent monitors is expected to monitor a designated number of beneficiaries of the national social investment programme”

She said a monthly stipend of N30,000 would be paid to each monitor, adding that there must be an 80 per cent delivery for eligibility to receive payment.

She added: “No independent monitor is allowed to reassign their duties to a third party. Every monitor will be held accountable for the task given to them.

“The ministry reserves the right to withdraw and disengage any monitor for inactivity or double standard or practices. The duration of the assignment is year”.

A lot of NPower Batch C applicants have been asking the question with regards to how many times an NPower Batch C Volunteer is expected to be at his or her Place of Primary Assignment in a week or month.

due to the preying eyes of the N-Power independent monitors, because if the NPower independent monitors comes to your place of primary assignment and find an NPower Batch C applicant absent without any clear reasons, this might lead to forceful disengagement or exit of the NPower Batch C Volunteer from the N-Power program.

If an NPower Batch C Volunteer is posted to a primary school, the NPower Batch C Volunteer have do be at his or her place of primary assignment daily, if an NPower Batch C applicant is deployed to a secondary school the N-Power Batch C volunteer have to be at his or her place of primary assignment at least three times in a week, if an NPower Batch C applicant is posted to an Agricultural Agency that is for N-Agro, the N-Power Batch C Volunteer have to be present at his or her place of primary assignment at least once a week and submit your report weekly.
