A New Minister to Oversee NPower & Nasims has Emerged

In a positive turn of events, Betta Edu, the current Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, has been appointed by President Bola Tinubu to oversee NASIMS. This appointment raises hope for more timely Npower stipend payments.

NPower Stipend Payment News Today

The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) has provided reassurance to beneficiaries of the Federal Government Npower Programme, affirming its dedication to settling all outstanding stipends. This commitment has been recognized as a top priority within the ongoing endeavors of Npower Management.

NASIMS conveyed this affirmation through its official communication channel, addressing the concerns of the beneficiaries on a Wednesday.

According to NASIMS, efforts are presently underway to address all overdue stipends, encompassing the months of January through July 2023. The management of Npower has guaranteed beneficiaries that these pending stipends will be fully disbursed, regardless of the time that has elapsed. It has been emphasized that no beneficiary will be left without payment.

A significant advancement toward the resolution of these overdue stipends is the enhancement of the NASIMS Self Service Portal. This enhancement aims to establish a consistent mechanism for stipend disbursement to the beneficiaries, while also serving as a platform through which beneficiaries can monitor their payment status and related reports.

NASIMS has recently intensified its initiatives to clear the outstanding stipends for October, November, and December of 2022. These pending payments have been hindrances to the initiation of the 2023 backlog stipends.

As of today, more than 62% of the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries have received one or more of the overdue stipends for October, November, and December 2022.

Following the completion of the 2022 backlog payments, NASIMS will initiate a bulk payment covering a span of five months for the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries. The execution of this payment plan, however, hinges on the availability of funds allocated for stipend disbursement.

All beneficiaries are encouraged to maintain patience and a positive outlook as the Npower management takes strides toward facilitating another comprehensive stipend disbursement to the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries.
