The meeting, which took place on April 29, 2025, aimed to review how the National Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) has been working so far and explore ways to strengthen the partnership moving forward.

According to the Minister, the discussions were all about finding practical solutions. They talked about the challenges faced, shared valuable insights, and brainstormed ways to improve access to economic opportunities, skills development, and empowerment for Nigeria’s youth.

The Minister stressed the need for continued collaboration to ensure that the youth development agenda becomes even more inclusive and impactful.

For those who may not be familiar, the National Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) is a government initiative that supports young entrepreneurs in Nigeria. Launched by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, its goal is to help young people start and grow businesses that can contribute to economic growth and job creation.

The NYIF was launched with an initial fund of N110 billion and is specifically aimed at individuals between the ages of 18 and 40. It provides financial resources to support projects and businesses in key areas like agriculture, ICT, and the creative industries—sectors that have the potential to create jobs and drive sustainable growth.
