Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi (FCA), has commissioned several infrastructure and development projects during a Government and People’s Meeting held in Jahun Local Government Area.

The meeting, part of the state-wide engagement initiative, aimed to strengthen interaction between the government and communities across Jigawa.

Road Projects and Community Development

During the visit, Governor Namadi inaugurated key road projects aimed at enhancing transportation and promoting economic activities in the region.

He also launched multiple community-based initiatives introduced by the Chairman of Jahun Local Government, Hon. Jamilu Muhammad Dan Malam. The projects target social welfare and improved living conditions for residents.

Over 2,000 Beneficiaries in New Empowerment Program

A highlight of the event was the launch of a Mega Empowerment Program, which distributed business tools and educational materials.

According to the state government, the initiative will directly benefit more than 2,000 men and women through:

  • Support for small-scale businesses

  • Skills training for youth and women

  • Educational assistance for students

Community Leaders React

Community representatives in Jahun expressed appreciation for the projects, describing Governor Namadi as a leader committed to grassroots development.

Conclusion

With the commissioning of new infrastructure and the rollout of an empowerment scheme for thousands of residents, the Jigawa government says it remains focused on improving livelihoods and boosting local economies across the state.
