The presidential campaign council of the PDP in Rivers State has asserted that Governor Nyesom Wike intends to revoke its office’s certificate of occupancy (C-of-O) in New GRA, Port Harcourt.
Goldennewsng reports that the property was sealed off on Friday by the Rivers State Ministry of Urban Development and Physical Planning.
Wike claimed that he used Executive Orders 21 and 22, to which he had recently consented, at a recent function to provide legal support for the sealing off of the campaign office.
Dr. Leloonu Nwibubasa, the state spokesman for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, however, stated that the council was not surprised by the governor’s planned action when he spoke with reporters on Tuesday in Port Harcourt.
According to Nwibubasa, “We at the Rivers State Presidential Campaign Council have been reliably informed by a verifiable source that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike will be making public on Wednesday the cancellation of the C of O of the property where our campaign council is presently located at No. 32 Onne Road, Ghana.”
