The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (formerly Anambra State University) was established in 2000 by the Anambra State Law, No 13, 2000 which was amended as Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Law. 2014. It inherited the assets and liabilities of the defunct Anambra State Polytechnic, Uli and the Anambra State College of Agriculture, lgbariam.

Requirements
- MBBS with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience will be sufficient qualification.
- Applicants must be a Fellow of the Medical College of Physicians (FMCP) / Fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP).
