  1. O’level Result: Prospective candidates must have a minimum of five credit passes in subjects including English and Mathematics in either the WAEC or NECO examinations. These credits should not be obtained in more than two sittings.
  2. Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least sixteen (16) years old.
  3. Cut-off Mark: Candidates must meet the specified UNIABUJA cut-off mark for Political Science.
  4. JAMB Subject Combination: It is essential to select the correct JAMB subject combination for the Political Science course, which includes the following subjects: Use of English, Mathematics, Government, and Economics.

Direct Entry Requirements for Political Science at UNIABUJA:

For candidates seeking admission through Direct Entry, the following requirements apply:

  1. Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE): A minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects in a maximum of two sittings.
  2. Degree or Related Fields: A degree with a minimum of First Class/Second Class Upper in related fields.
  3. UNIABUJA Direct Entry Form: Direct entry candidates should purchase the UNIABUJA Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and UNIABUJA Portal.
  4. National Certificate of Education (NCE) and National Diploma (ND): A minimum of a Merit Pass in NCE, ND, or other Advanced Level Certificates.
  5. Additional Qualifications: Other qualifications deemed acceptable by the University’s Senate and equivalent to the requirements mentioned above.
  6. Faculty/Departmental Entry Requirements: Candidates must also fulfill the specific entry requirements set by the Faculty/Department.
