Former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has stated that the All Progressives Congress APC is done in light of the Party’s defeat in the just concluded Edo State Governorship Election.
While addressing journalists on Sunday, the Rochas Okorocha said that the party died when the leadership abandoned the progressives and Democratic ideals on which it was founded.
“Permit me to give you the insight of APC. This word APC was formed by four major political parties – The CPC led by President Muhammadu Buhari, ACN led by Ahmed Tinubu, ANPP led by Ogbonnaya Onu and APGA led by myself. What we brought was a structure which every other person fell into.
“The PDP group came in and joined us. I gave the name APC, I designed that logo and that was the beginning of the party and there was understanding. That was how we started and brought president Muhammadu Buhari into office.
“That is the party you all call APC today, but unless we go back to where it all started APC can never see the light of day.
“There is no more APC, what we have now is the respect for the president, that is what is keeping us together.”
