Teach for Nigeria Fellowship Program 2024 is currently ongoing – Apply Now

Teach for Nigeria is looking for people who demonstrate leadership potential during their application. As a result, you’ll be asked to write three essays describing your leadership experience, motivation, and your long-term goals.

This requires you to reflect on your past experiences and future goals. Describe your personal achievements over the years and share your career aspirations. We want to know how the fellowship will propel you to your desired career path. We advise you to use the STAR approach (situation, task, action, and result) to write the application essays.

Be sure to share your volunteering and job experiences, but never lie or exaggerate your achievements. If you do, you’ll be caught out during the selection process.

This life-changing opportunity invites exceptional university graduates, young professionals, and entrepreneurs to become full-time teachers (Fellows) in under-resourced schools within low-income communities across Nigeria.

By joining this movement of leaders, you’ll not only empower the next generation but also gain invaluable leadership skills and experiences.

Here’s why you should apply:

  • Make a real difference: Directly impact the lives of students in underserved communities and contribute to closing the educational equity gap in Nigeria.
  • Develop crucial leadership skills: Gain valuable training and mentorship to become a leader in education and beyond.
  • Join a supportive community: Be part of a network of passionate individuals working towards a common goal.
  • Receive competitive compensation and benefits: Enjoy a livable stipend, health insurance, and professional development opportunities.

Are you eligible?

There are two pathways to the fellowship:

  • Young Graduates Pathway: Open to highly motivated young graduates and mid-level professionals between 18 and 35 years old with a minimum 2:2 university degree and completed NYSC service.
  • Existing Teachers Pathway: Designed for experienced public school teachers in Ogun State under SUBEB or TESCOM.

Ready to apply?

The application portal is now open! Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Choose your pathway: Carefully review the eligibility criteria for each pathway to determine which one is right for you.
  2. Showcase your leadership potential: Write three compelling essays highlighting your leadership experience, motivation, and long-term goals using the STAR method.
  3. Gather your documents: Ensure you have all necessary documents, including certificates, transcripts, and NYSC discharge certificate, ready for upload.
  4. Proofread and submit: Carefully review your application for errors and submit it before the deadline.

Click here to apply now! Don’t miss this chance to be part of something extraordinary and make a lasting impact on the future of Nigeria.

Additional tips for a strong application:

  • Highlight your passion for education and social justice.
  • Demonstrate your leadership qualities through concrete examples.
  • Proofread your essays carefully for grammar and spelling errors.
  • Be yourself and let your unique personality shine through.

We encourage you to visit the Teach for Nigeria website for more information about the program, application guidelines, and FAQs.
