More Information abut the Top 10 Highest Currency in the world 2022

  1. Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD)

As of January 2022, Kuwaiti Dinar is the highest Currency in the world. Currently, its value is more than 3.31 USD. The currency code for Dinar is KWD. The reason why Kuwaiti Dinar is so strong is that Kuwait has a very strong and stable economy due to oil-rich land and industry. If you are fed up with your country’s tax system then you may consider moving to Kuwait because here you don’t have to any kind of tax. One KWD can buy you more than 245 Indian Nation Rupees. That’s why you can find a lot of Indians working in Kuwait.

Kuwait is a small country as far as its size is concerned. Still, it has more than 9% of the global oil reserves. All of these make Kuwait rank very high in the countries with the highest GDP per capita.

2. BAHRAINI DINAR

The second highest currency that we have in the world in 2022 is the Bahraini Dinar. One Bahraini Dinar is about ₦1,101.50  This currency replaced the Persian Gulf Rupee which was the official money that was used in Bahrain.

  1. Omani Rial (OMR)

According to findings, Omani Rial is the 3rd most expensive/ valuable currency in the world. Its value is nearly double the value of the British Pound and 2.60 times the value of the US Dollar. Since 1973, the currency is pegged to the US dollar. The purchasing power of Omani Rial is insanely high. So, the Omani government has to issue banknotes of half Omani Rial and one-fourth Omani Rial.

4. Jordanian Dinar is the currency of Jordan (JOD)

The Jordanian Dinar is the fourth most expensive currency on our list. In 1949, the Palestinian pound was replaced by this currency in the country. Despite the Jordanian Dinar’s high value, it is difficult to explain why the country is not economically developed. Aside from that, the country has a significant external debt. Many experts believe that the Jordanian Dinar’s high value is due to the government’s commitment to maintaining stable exchange rates.

The West Bank, a contentious territory on Israel’s, Jordan’s, and Syria’s borders, uses both the Israeli Shekel and the Jordanian Dinar. On the plus side, according to numerous reports, Jordan is designated as a “Emerging Market Economy.”

5. BRITISH POUND

The fifth highest currency that we have in the world in 2021 is the British pound. Do you recall that it was the British pound we formerly used in Nigeria before the Nigerian Naira was established? Now what does it cost or what is it worth? One British pound is about ₦ 522.62

  1. Cayman Islands Dollar (KYD)

You might find it amusing to see this currency listed among the highest. The Cayman Islands’ official currency is the Cayman Dollar (KYD). The Cayman Islands are an autonomous British colony. It is the only currency in the list that originates from the Caribbean.

In 1972, this currency was adopted to replace Jamaican Dollars. As a result, it becomes one of the world’s most powerful currencies. Have you ever wondered why KYD is so expensive? The reason is straightforward. The Cayman Islands are one of the world’s tax havens. A huge number of insurance companies, hedge funds, and the world’s top banks have licenses from them. One Cayman Islands Dollar is now worth 1.22 US dollars.

  1. European Euro (EUR)

The European Euro is not just one of the world’s most valuable currencies, but also one of the most powerful. If you want to invest, this is the currency you should choose. Every year, the Euro becomes more and more powerful. It is also the world’s second most reserve currency, after the US dollar. According to estimates, the European Euro holds roughly 25% of the world’s savings.

It is the world’s second most traded currency in the forex market after the US dollar in 2022. There are now 25 countries around the world that have fixed exchange rates with the Euro.

8.  SWISS FRANC

The ninth highest currency that we have in the world in 2021 is the Swiss Franc. The Swiss franc comes in both bank notes and also coins. One Swiss franc is about ₦432.46

9. THE UNITED STATES DOLLAR

The tenth highest currency that we have in the world in 2021 is the United States Dollar. This is one of the most popular currencies we have in the world and it is about ₦ 415.2

10. Canadian Dollar

Canada is a country that has natural resources in abundance. It has huge reserves of crude oil (13.21%) just behind Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. Plus, Canada has the 2nd largest uranium supply in the world.

One thing you should know about the Canadian Dollar is that its value greatly depends upon global price fluctuations. The value of CAD also depends upon the value of USD because the US is the main importer of Canadian Oil.
