The draw for this year’s Uefa champions league has been decided in a behind closed door event in Geneva due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Uefa announced that hosting the event in its original venue in the Greek capital Athens, would violate public health restrictions and constraints regarding indoor events.
In Group A, Holders Bayern Munich, was drawn alongside Atletico Madrid, Red bull Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow.
13 times winners and Spanish champions Real Madrid was drawn in Group B where they will face Shakhtar Donetsk, Inter Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach.
In Group C, Porto faces off with Manchester city, Olympiakos and Marseille.
English champions and 2019 winners, Liverpool, was pit alongside Ajax, Atalanta and Midtjylland in Group D.
Group E comprises of Europa league winners Sevilla, Chelsea, Krasnodar and Rennes – were Chelsea’s new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy will face former club.
In Group F, Zenith St Petersburg, Borussia Dortmund, Lazio and Club Brugge will all slug it out to get to the next round.
Juventus and Barcelona meet in a blockbuster Group G, that sees Ronaldo face Messi for the first time since he left Real Madrid. Dynamo Kiev and Ferencvaros makes up the group.

The group stages gets underway in the week of October 19 with six rounds of group games running through to mid December.
