About Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU)
Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), formerly known as Katsina State University, was established by the Katsina State Government in 2006. Its purpose is to “serve as a center for the socio-economic, technological, and political development of the state by producing highly skilled human resources through conventional face-to-face and distance learning methods.”
The late Umaru Musa Yar’adua, who was the executive governor of Katsina State and later the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria until his passing in 2010, initiated the process of establishing the university.
The Katsina State House of Assembly passed the bill creating the Katsina State University on September 5, 2006. The institution commenced offering courses in January 2007, with three faculties (Education, Humanities, and Natural and Applied Sciences) and 16 undergraduate programs. In April 2009, the State House of Assembly approved a law to change the name of the institution in honor of Umaru Musa Yar’adua.

- Visit the UMYU post-UTME portal at https://collegeportal.umyu.edu.ng/ug/applicant/index.
- Fill in the required fields using your JAMB UTME registration number and password, then click “Log in.”
- Once logged in, click the “View Result” link to access your post-UTME score.
Using a Mobile Device:
- Visit the UMYU post-UTME portal at https://collegeportal.umyu.edu.ng/ug/applicant/index.
- Fill in the necessary fields using your JAMB UTME registration number and password, then click “Log in.”
- Once logged in, click the “View Result” link to access your post-UTME score.
Please note: The aggregate pass mark is 130, except for Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), which requires a minimum aggregate pass mark of 200.
