Wizkid’s New Album ‘Morayo’ Breaks Streaming Records, Dominates Apple Music Charts

Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has made history with his latest album, Morayo. All 17 songs from the project secured the top 17 positions on Apple Music Nigeria’s charts within just 10 hours of its release.

The album, released on November 22, 2024, is a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.

Leading the pack is the single ‘Piece of My Heart,’ which has climbed to No. 4 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart and No. 7 on the World Digital Song Sales Chart, further solidifying Wizkid’s influence on the global music scene.

In addition to chart-topping success, ‘Morayo’ has shattered streaming records in Nigeria.

One of its singles garnered an impressive 1.57 million streams on Spotify on its opening day, marking the album as one of the most streamed releases in the country’s history.
