Today, Thursday 25th June 2020, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will elect its candidate for the Edo State Governorship Election scheduled for the 19th of September 2020.
Following the Edo State Governorship Election, the Edo PDP election will be between the incumbent, Governor Godwin Obaseki, and a popular philanthropist, Kenneth Imasuagbon, popularly known as the ‘Rice Man’.
Furthermore, the All Progressives Congress (APC), engulfed in internal crisis, had already elected Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as its governorship candidate.

Election materials have arrived the Sam Ogbemudia stadium which is the venue of the primaries. The names of the eighteen LGAs in the state have been pasted on apportioned areas within the stadium which is to be occupied by delegates across the three senatorial districts.
