Which Universities Can be Selected as Second Choice? Though JAMB has made it possible for candidates to select Universities as 2nd choice, the List of universities that can be used as Second Choice is limited to the ones released by JAMB.
When applying for JAMB, candidates are usually required to select both their first and second choice institutions.
This increases the possibility that each candidate will be offered admission to either their first or second choice institution.
Previously, Jamb prohibited the selection of two public universities as both first and second (2nd) choices during UTME registrations because most universities or institutions do not accept second choice candidates who apply.
It is now good news that JAMB allows candidates to choose two universities as their first and second choices. This means that candidates can now register for State Universities or Federal Universities that Accept Second Choice Candidates as their second choice institutions.
So, all you have to do is choose the school you want to use as your second choice and you’re good to go. Actually, it’s not that simple. Because not all schools accept second choice, you will need to do some research to find a list of schools that do so so that you can use it during your JAMB registration.
