The Governors of the Southeast states are currently in a closed-door meeting at the Government House, in Enugu State.
GoldenNewsNg reports that Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Ebonyi State Governor/Chairman of Southeast Governors’ Forum, Engr. David Umahi are currently in attendance.
The Governors of Anambra and Imo states, Prof. Charles Soludo and Senator Hope Uzodinma are being represented by their deputies, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezi and Prof. Placid Njoku, respectively.
Sunday Independent gathered that the closed-door meeting may not be unconnected to the worsening security situation in the region.
