2023 NNPC-SNEPCO National University Scholarship for Nigerians

The Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), in collaboration with Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited and its Co-venture partners, has announced the commencement of the 2023 NNPC-SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme. This scholarship program is designed to recognize and reward outstanding academic achievements among Nigerian students, as well as support the development of the country’s human capital.

The scholarship program is open to eligible Nigerian students who are currently enrolled in any Nigerian university and pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree program in any field of study. The selected students will receive yearly financial support from their second year to the completion of their undergraduate degree program.

The NNPC-SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme is highly competitive, and candidates will be selected based on academic merit, leadership potential, and community involvement. Interested applicants are required to complete an online application, provide proof of their academic excellence, and submit a personal statement that demonstrates their leadership skills and commitment to community development.

This scholarship program is a testament to SNEPCo’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and supporting the growth and development of Nigeria’s youth. By investing in the education of young Nigerians, the NNPC-SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme seeks to equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to become future leaders and contribute to the country’s economic and social development.

 

Scholarship Details:

  1. Application Deadline: April 14, 2023.
  2. Eligible Countries: Nigeria.
  3. Scholarship Type: Undergraduate.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Applicants must be citizens of Nigeria.
  2. Applicants must currently be in their second year of full-time study in a Nigerian Federal or State University accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
  3. Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-grade system.
  4. Applicants must not be beneficiaries of any other scholarship (National or International).

Application Process:

To apply for the scholarship, follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure that you have a valid personal email account and phone number.
  2. Eligible candidates should submit their applications online at https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/2022NNPCSNEPCo.
  3. Candidates should include personal and educational details in the application.
  4. Applicants should upload scanned copies of the following documents as part of the application process:
  • Recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, not more than 200kilobytes
  • University or JAMB Admission Letter
  • Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Result
  • O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable
  • Letter of Identification from State of Origin indicating the applicant’s local government of origin
  • Academic result at the end of your first year
  1. Click on the “Apply Now” tab to start the application process.
  2. Click on the “Register Now” button to create an account.
  3. Proceed to your email box to activate your account.
  4. Click on https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/2022NNPCSNEPCo to return to the scholarship site.
  5. Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.
  6. Enter your personal information, National Identification Number, educational information, other information and upload the required scanned documents.
  7. Ensure that the name used in your application matches the names on all documentation in the same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
  8. Ensure that you view all documents after uploading to ensure that they are clear and accurate.
  9. When asked to upload a photo, upload a passport photograph with a white background.
  10. Recheck your application information to avoid errors.
  11. Click on “Apply Now” to submit your information.
  12. You will receive an email and an SMS that confirms that your application was successful.
  13. Return to https://candidate.scholastica.ng/, enter your Email and Password to download your profile, and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.
  14. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile; this will be used for verification.
