An ambassador is a high-ranking official representing a country abroad on behalf of its government especially on diplomatic matters. Nigeria as a country has 47 ambassadors representing her in various countries of the planet .
Duties of Nigerian Ambassadors
The Ambassadors perform specific duties like taking charge of the embassies, work to represent and advance the foreign policy goals of the Nigerian president and his administration in other host countries it’s diplomatic relations with.
They also make sure the security of embassy staff and property, manage communications, hold bilateral talks with governing body of the host country, sign trade agreements, and protect Nigerians overseas.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform that His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the posting of ambassadors-designate to Nigerian Missions abroad.
