Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun shocked his fans on Friday after revealing that he is a proud son of Ondo state. He hailed from Ifon in Ose Local Government Area of the state. AY is a very popular Nigerian comedian and entertainer.
He is widely known for his movie Merry Men and many others which makes him a movie producer too. His grand entry into the movie industry has been very rewarding because he enjoys support and collaborations from actors and actresses in the Nollywood industry.
For many years only a few of his fans knew his real state of origin. They think that AY is from Warri or any of the Niger Delta states. He rarely talks about his state of origin but always refers to Warri that is why most of his fans think that he is from the Niger Delta.
But his post on Instagram surprised many people including those who felt that they knew him very well. He gave his full name as Richard Ayodeji Makun. However, he grew up in Warri, Delta state where he learned many of his speaking skills from.
The city is reputable for inspiring many other comedians like Basket Mouth, I go dye, Gordons, Akpororo among others. Like many other comedians in the country, AY can no longer have shows as he used to because of the corona virus pandemic.
The last show that he had during the lock down was a virtual show which had a few thousand fans online. Although he sold tickets online, it was not as profitable as real shows where people pay millions of naira for tables at the front.
