The candidate for senatorial seat from the All Progressives Congress for Yobe North, Hon. Bashir Machina has stated that he does not regret defending the mandate he received from the zone’s residents during the primary election for the party.
Goldennewsng reports that this was said by Machina during a speech he gave to hundreds of supporters in the local government areas of Karasuwa and Yusufari by his media aide, Husaini Mohammed Isa.
He stated, “I consider this a rare privilege to serve people of Yobe North, and the greatest appreciation would be to provide quality service and purposeful leadership that would elevate the developmental trajectory of our dear senatorial district.” He added, “I consider this a rare privilege to serve people of Yobe North.”
He went on to say that he holds no grudges against the people who conspired against him and that he has put everything behind him, urging his supporters to do the same.
Machina stated, “I have forgiven those who ganged up against me. What the APC needs now in the State is for all stakeholders to come together for the sake of the Party.”
The senatorial candidate assured the monarch, while they were at the Palace of the Emir of Yusufari, that he would never, no matter what, fail his people.
Keep in mind that Machina had won legal battles over the Yobe North Senatorial ticket against the current President of the Senate, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan.
