Icegrin, the Nigerian singer and songwriter has declared that he sings better than Afrobeats sensations, Ruger and BNXN.
GoldenNewsNg reports that He stated confidently that his new song titled ”For The Girls” is better than all songs released by both artistes.
Icegrin took to his Twitter page to make the declaration amid the rift between BNXN and Ruger which was reignited just few days ago.
The up and coming singer urged fans around the world to listen to For The Girls and testify to his superiority in terms of music.
He wrote; ‘‘My new song “for the girls “ is much better than Ruger and BNXN songs 🔥🚀 Listen…”
Meanwhile, in an earlier interview, Icegrin revealed that he grew up with his grandma and the experience inspired his music career.
He also said that he started singing at the age of 11 and recorded his first song with his close friend and producer, DJ Zeeez, in 2017.
He said; ‘‘Growing up with my grandma contributed to when and how his music started. She always complained that my music, which she referred to as ‘noise,’ was disturbing the entire neighborhood.
“Growing up, I was fascinated by genres such as trap, rap, RnB, and a tiny spice of afrobeat. Khalid, 6lack, Alpha P, and Rema are among the artists I admire. My music defies categorization, yet I characterize it as having a “afro-electro flavor.
“I constantly want my music to stand out from the crowd, which is why I experiment with different sounds to produce something unique for my followers and music enthusiasts.”
