NDE 774,000 SPW Latest News | February/March 2022 Payment Update

This is to inform all applicants of NDE 774,000 SPW that salary payments for workers have been advanced, payment for February/March 2022 is in top gear

If you have not been paid in the FG National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Special Public Works (SPW), there is good news for you, as the N7.3B fund released for the program will be disbursed in no distant time

On Monday, in a press briefing, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment Festus Keyamo gave some hints on the progress of the program and disclose the future of the program

 

Mr. Festus Keyamo said, over N40B have been paid to 1,000 persons each from the 774 LGA across Nigeria, and that the N7.3B supplementary fund is yet to be disbursed for further payment

The FG is yet to disbursed N7.3B to beneficiaries, but in no distant time, after all clearances and findings, all outstanding payments to beneficiaries would be paid

He stated that the delay was due to issues related to banks. He also said that the payments are been worked on for a successful disbursement before the end of February/March 2022.

All outstanding and current payment will be paid as provision for disbursement is on the pipe, beneficiaires are to corporate with the government to see that, this become a reality

 

The program was meant to take 1,000 persons in each of the 774 Local Government Areas in Nigeria, has so far disbursed N40B to beneficiaries, and over N7B will be paid before the end of March 2022, Keyamo added

The program hopes to disbursed N50B to 774,000 persons at the end of 2023

“Under the intervention, 1,000 unskilled and unemployed persons from each of the 774 LGAs were engaged to provide environment-specific public works services in their immediate localities adding that the services were rendered for a period of 3 months with each participant paid the sum of N20,000 per month” Keyamo disclosed
