The 2022 World Cup golden boot has been awarded to French striker Kylian Mbappe.
Goldennewsng reports that this comes after he scored eight goals in the tournament.
Mbappe got a full go-around in the undeniably exhilarating World Cup last against Argentina to take his count for the competition to eight. Messi completed the competition with seven objectives.
The Brilliant Boot will be the French footballer’s just relief as France was beaten 4-2 on punishments by Argentina after a 3-3 draw.
Mbappe also made history by becoming the second player since England’s Geoff Hurst in 1966 to score a hat trick in the World Cup final.
