This knowledge will help you avoid registering the wrong subject combination in JAMB and O’level exams (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB). JAMB And WAEC Subjects For Architecture

To study Architecture in any university, polytechnic, or college of education in Nigeria (including UNIBEN, UI, UNILAG, DELSU, etc.), you must enroll and pass specific subjects. Here are the subjects you need:

  1. Mathematics: Mathematics is a core subject for O’level exams (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE) and a compulsory subject for JAMB.
  2. English Language: English Language is a required subject for both JAMB and O’level exams.
  3. Geology (optional): Some institutions may require Geology as a subject in O’level exams. It is advisable to check the specific requirements of the universities you’re interested in.
  4. Chemistry: Chemistry is compulsory in O’level exams but can be replaced with subjects like Geography, Art, Biology, or Economics for JAMB.

Requirements For Direct Entry

If you wish to enter Architecture through direct entry, you need to meet the following requirements:

  1. IJMB or JUPEB: You can gain admission through programs like IJMB (Interim Joint Matriculation Board) or JUPEB (Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board).
  2. JAMB Direct Entry Requirements: You must fulfill either of the following criteria:
