Chelsea continues their Champions League defense as they host Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of their quarter-final fixtures today.
Thomas Tuchel’s men will be looking to bounce back from that disappointing display against Brentford at the weekend, which saw them lose 4-1 to the newly promoted Brentford at Stamford Bridge.
Real Madrid on the other side will be looking to revenge for last season’s defeat to Chelsea in the Semi-Final as they face off each other again this season.
The defending champions were able to see off the threat of Ligue 1 side Lille by beating them 4-1 to reach the quarter-final while Real Madrid bounced back from 2-0 down to defeat Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 to reach this stage.
Chelsea will continue to be without their left-back Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson Odoi who are currently injured while Madrid will continue to miss the services of Eden Hazard who have found it difficult to fit into the Madrid squad since joining from Chelsea.
