JAMB announces new date for DE registration, issues guideline

JAMB has reopened registration for the 2023 Direct Entry (DE) registration starting from March 20, 2023, until April 28, 2023. This move follows the suspension of the previous DE registration, which was scheduled for February 20, 2023, due to the board’s discovery of devices and schemes to circumvent and compromise the standard of A’ level qualifications required from DE candidates. JAMB is only allowing registration for the 2023 DE at JAMB PTCs and will be done under strict supervision.

JAMB extends 2023 UTME registration

JAMB has also extended the registration for the 2023 UTME by one week, starting from February 15, 2023. The sale of ePINs will end on February 20, 2023, while UTME registration will end on February 22, 2023. As of the close of the sale of ePINs on February 14, 2023, 1,527,068 candidates had registered for the 2023 UTME exercise, including 168,748 who expressed their interest in taking the mock UTME. JAMB had the capacity to register up to 100,000 candidates per day but observed that less than 50,000 candidates were turning up for registration until the last two days before the closing date when the pace picked up remarkably, with over 100,000 candidates registering on a daily basis.
