JAMB is ready for 2023 mock, candidates advised to be at their centres one hour before exam
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that preparations for the 2023 UTME mock exam, scheduled to hold on March 30th, 2023, are now complete. The Board has recently conducted a training exercise to update its technical staff on the latest innovations put in place for the seamless conduct of both the Mock-UTME and the main UTME exams.
According to the Board, printing of the mock exam slips has already commenced. It is therefore advised that candidates who registered for the mock exam should proceed to check their registered email addresses for information regarding their exam centres and other important details.
JAMB has also assured all candidates that the mock exam will be a simulation of the actual UTME, and that it is designed to prepare candidates for the main exam. The Board therefore urges all candidates to take advantage of the mock exam to prepare adequately and improve their chances of performing well in the main UTME.
Candidates are strongly advised by the Board to arrive at their designated examination centres at least one hour before the scheduled start time for biometric verification. The Board emphasizes that the scheduled start time for the examination is strictly observed and urges candidates to plan accordingly. In addition, JAMB reiterates its zero-tolerance policy for exam malpractice and warns that any candidate caught engaging in such acts will face severe consequences.
JAMB Trains 650 Technical Officers, Says Notification Slips Ready For Printing
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has trained 650 technical officers ahead of the 2023 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The purpose of the training is to update the technical staff’s knowledge on the innovations put in place for the seamless conduct of the 2023 Mock-UTME and the main UTME. The training and the examination are considered a validity test to recertify JAMB’s entire technical staff, ensuring that only the best hands are deployed for the 2023 exercise. JAMB conducts training, examination, and certification every year to enlist only qualified staff for the exercise. The Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, made this known at the virtual training session coordinated from the Board’s National Headquarters in Bwari, Abuja.
